Delivery

Can I have my order delivered ‘Next Working Day’ ?

Yes, a next working day delivery service is available, but only for any orders placed before 13.00 during Monday - Fridays, unless your order is placed on a business closure date. For a full list of our company closure dates, please take a look at our Contact Us page.

Currently, Saturdays, Sundays, Closure Dates and Bank Holidays, are not classed as working days, so any next working day orders received on these days, and/or company closure days, will be shipped on the next working day. 

 

How soon will I get my order?

Economy Delivery

Economy UK Mainland Deliveries are processed same day but during these are currently being dispatched within 5 working days. Please note that Saturdays, Sundays, Closure Dates and Bank Holidays are not classed as working days.

Priority Delivery

Priotrity UK Mainland Deliveries are processed same day but will be dispatched usually within 2-3 working days. Please note that Saturdays, Sundays, Closure Dates and Bank Holidays are not classed as working days.

Next Working Day Delivery

Priority Next Working Day UK Mainland Deliveries are processed and dispatched same day so long as the order is placed before 13.00 between Monday - Friday. Please note that any orders placed on a Friday, or over the Weekend, or on a Closure Dates, and on a Bank Holiday will be dispatched on the next working day. For a full list of our company closure dates, please take a look at our Contact Us page.

If, for any reason we are unable to process your order for Next Working Day Delivery, we will advise you by email, and your order will be processed on the next working day unless we receive further instructions from you.  If any goods are unavailable at the time you place your order, or need to be ordered in especially, we will also notify you, therefore a Next Working Day Delivery will not be possible in this instance.

Gift Voucher Orders/Delivery

Any gift voucher orders placed through our website are system generated and should therefore be sent to you within a few hours of ordering them.  If you have any issues or queries, please email our customer service team (Monday-Friday) customerservice@sherwoodsfabrics.co.uk 

Do you deliver outside the UK?

Yes, we deliver to countries all over the world.  Please select your country on the checkout page, and the relevant shipping options will be shown for you to select.

Do you charge for delivery?

Yes, an exact ‘postage, packaging and handling’ amount will be shown at the checkout, although for non-UK deliveries this does not cover any import customs or duty costs which are the responsibility of you, the customer to pay.

 

Order Disputes/Product Claims/Time Limits

If I have an issue or dispute with my order or delivery, is there a time limit in which to notify you within, for my query, dispute, claim to be valid and honoured?

Yes, we require all complaints and queries relating to orders, products, damaged goods, and courier/delivery issues, to be notified to us in writing by email within 14 working days of receipt of your goods. Failure to do so will mean that we are unable to consider any claim due to reasons which may be outside of our control, relating to either your own handling of the products received, or damage made to them, or due to courier or delivery company claim procedure being paid and thus void, or product batch changes with products, and/or suppliers of products claim terms being past and thus void due to time-lapse. Any specifically cut, or made-to-measure products are non returnable. See terms and conditions page for further details relating to such matters.

 

Minimum Quantities/Pricing & Offers/Payment Options

What is the least amount that I can order?

The minimum order is 0.5m, we will supply part metre thereafter in increments of 10cm

Do you have special offers or ‘Sale’ fabrics?

We have a selection of ‘Sale’ fabrics, and cheap fabrics under £6/m, these are shown on the website top tabs under the names of ‘Sale’ and/or 'Fabrics under £6/m'. Also, if you subscribe to our newsletters which can be done either on the form on the website footer, or through the popup box on the website, we often have promotion offers, and sale events, which will be notified to you by email/mailchimp.

What quantity units do you sell in?

Fabrics are sold in metres from 0.5m upwards. For example, if you want to order 4.6 metres please select '4.6' in the quantity box, however, the minimum amount you can order is 0.5 metre, and increments are supplied of 0.10cm, thereafter.

How do I pay?

Payments are taken via a secure 3rd party payment terminal at the ‘Checkout’. Options include PayPal and Stripe. We do not store credit card details nor do we share customer details with any 3rd parties. Payment is taken in full at the point of sale when ordering through our website. A wide range of credit and debit cards are accepted, but excluding American Express. You can also place orders over the phone during office opening hours, upto a maximum value of £150.00 (this is to minimise our exposure to risk and/or card payment fraud). For larger orders above £150.00, we will send you an invoice by email, which will then need to be settled by bank transfer to our bank account details on the top right hand corner of our invoice, prior to the dispatch of your order.

Samples

Can I order a sample?

Yes, this option is available on most fabrics we sell, except for sale and/or clearance fabrics. In the instances where a sample option is not available, you can order minimum 0.5 metres. For where sample options are available to order, simply choose your fabric and add a sample to your basket (these should be shown in a button to the right hand side of the product 'add-to-basket' button, you will then need to proceed through the checkout process as normal.

Do you charge for samples?

Yes, samples are available mostly at a cost of £3.00 each. However, some specialist fabrics, or fabrics with a cost price of £18/m or above may be charged at £4.50. The correct rate for each sample will be shown once added to your basket.  You can also order a variety pack of samples. To find these product options please type the word 'variant' into the search bar.

Can I have a bigger sample?

Usually our samples are approximately 10cm x 15cm. If you require a larger sample, you can order 0.5m minimum of any of our fabrics.

Sample Orders

Sample orders are currently being dispatched within 7-14 working days of order, and are usually sent via Royal Mail unless placed with other products, in which case they may be sent by an alternative courier. Please note that current working days do not include Fridays, Weekends or Public Holidays.
